CHEP 2010 conference

Printer-friendly versionWe attended the CHEP 2010 (http://event.twgrid.org/chep2010/) conference, where in the Grid and Cloud session we reported about the status of the Chelonia storage system, which we started developing during the KnowARC project, and it is still in developement. Our presentation was mentioned during the summaries on the closing plenary session with positive remarks. The goal of the Chelonia storage system is to provide an easy-to-deploy lightweight solution to merge unused storage capacities through the internet, and to provide an easy-to-understand way for the users to use it as a remote web-service-based file system. An important design goal was high fault-tolerance and self-healing.
