Dialup service

Since February 2003, NIIF Institute has been offering Dialup Service for its Member Institutions, which allows them providing dialing-in Internet access for their employees by calling #51 numbers. As a registered Internet Service Provider at HÍF, NIIF Institute is permitted to provide Internet access via #51 numbers, which, due to the authority-
fixed minute costs offers a friendly solution for end-users. By introducing Dialup Service NIIF wishes to transmit these conditions to Member Institutions offering more flexible, and more suitable Internet-facility for its customers, than those that are available at ISPs.

The existence of this service has been strengthened by the new tax rules, which allows employers to support their employees by providing special tax-free financial contribution covering Internet access charges.

NIIF Member Institutions who, in turn, can provide cost-effective Internet access service for their end users are allowed to register for the Dialup service. The service is only available for employees of Member Institutions, transferring it to third parties is strictly prohibited! End users are those employees that are in legal relation to the Member Institutions, such as researchers, students, and other employees.
