Managing user homepages

The http://members.iif.hu/username personal homepages can be managed through their https://webadmin.iif.hu/upload/members.iif.hu/htdocs/username administrative address.

Under Windows

Start Internet Explorer (at least version 6), then choose File/Open. As URL give the administrative address, then tick Open as web folder. After pressing Open the browser asks for the user name and password, then, if authentication was successful, the contents of the web page are presented as a folder, in which adding and deleting files is possible as usual.

Warning

On Windows XP the WebClient service must be stopped for the above to work reliably. Select the WebClient service in Start/Control Panel/Administrative Tools/Services, then issue right click/Stop and set right click/Properties/Startup type to Disabled.

Under Linux

We recommand using the cadaver client, which can be downloaded from http://www.webdav.org/cadaver.
